first birthday!

A year ago today, I took one of my biggest leaps of faith- I launched Annie Poppins Shop.

One of my passions is making others feel loved, celebrated and adored, and receiving snail mail is one of my favorite things so I put the two together and here is Annie Poppins Shop. I had created the Etsy shop over Christmas break but didn’t tell anyone about it until my big launch day. I was nervous, anxious, hesitant and worried about what people would think and if anyone would even order a box or if I was wasting money on supplies. With (a lot) of help from my friends, I posted on social media and the rest is history!!

This year has been a year of learning, an unbelievable amount of growing, trial and error, mistakes, and victories. I realized about half way through this year that I wasn’t keeping records efficiently and here I am, still trying to figure out the best way to do so. Sometimes I bit off more than I could chew and had to figure out the best way to tackle it all.

But today is about celebrating the incredible year that it has been! I am so ecstatic to say that our boxes and gifts have been sent to over 60 cities in 21 states, including Hawaii. And we even sent one to Toronto! We have record of sending 166 boxes and jars to your loved ones, and know that there are so many more! That’s over 166 people that were reminded that they are loved and that someone is thinking about them. In addition to our first year sales, we also launched our blog, Annie Bradshaw, where we share real life stories, give you ideas to make people feel loved and to remind you to celebrate the little things in life. It’s a lot to juggle as a full time student, but each time I fill out the card for the lucky recipient, I am reminded of why I do what I do.

Today is party day (and studying for an exam day) but tomorrow, we’re back to business. Creating goals for the year, sending out our SOLD OUT xoxo box, and helping you show others how much they are loved! Do you have any ideas for us? We have a few things in the works but would love to hear your suggestions!

Thanks for an incredible year!

Annie Bradshaw
